3/19/2023 0 Comments Etrian odyssey 4 classes wiki![]() For those that intend on playing through 2020, here are the resources I dug out if you really need them. trash move imoįur20 fucked around with this message at 18:24 on Nov 9, 2020įinished tearing through 7th Dragon 2020 data. i should see if they ever updated the steam versionĮ2: they didn't, you have to buy the rerelease bundled with a different game. you can spend hours trying to get better equipment from ambushes, and this is how you're "supposed to" do itģ) yes, this is definitely one of those games where you get a variety of options but you're "supposed to" do everything a very particular and narrow-minded way the dev imagined itĤ) that doesn't even sound like the dungeon where all your casters are useless and permanently silent because you're underwater lolĮ: this is my experience with sword city vanilla. you're "supposed to" have a backup party i think?Ģ) the actual grind is interminable. Your main character can never perma-die so you can do whatever you want with them.ġ) iirc if characters die, you can bench them for however long it takes and they'll very gradually recover their extra lives. The perma-death mechanic is mostly a non-factor in Revisited unless you go out of your way to build 1-LP characters. Do note though that the translation is a bit of a trainwreck in every version though, some stuff is confusing entirely because it is translated wrong. The new Switch port is the Revisited upgrade, so definitely wait and pick up that one (do NOT buy the Steam version). The original versions of the game, not so much. Sword City Revisited is a very solid and fun game for the most part. And in this game if characters die enough they can be removed permanently. They put random encounters in with ranged enemies in the back row that have instant kill attacks. It was alright for the first few zones then I hit one that was so insanely bullshit I dropped it right there. Is Stranger of Sword City good? That one and its sequel are coming out on the Switch next March and wondered if they are any good. It's just nice to have a game that I can play while using a rowing machine at the same time. Wouldn't be as bad in handheld mode, but would suck on a TV. Doing something like setting up auto-paths to follow would be harder though. I can see EO working well on Switch with automapping features. Maybe I'm overlevelled, but I've been able to explore most floors the first time I get to them. I do like that you can get a decent early heal after every battle buff, which makes exploring new areas a lot easier than EO. There's a lot to the game that I don't know if it actually makes the game better or not. Instead of just giving me access to making unlimited dolls I'm just slowly expanding my party. The game does seem to introduce it slowly enough that it's not as overwhelming as it could be. I finally got pacts and a couple more souls to make multi-character pacts and I think I'm getting the hang of using it. I don't quite get how to optimize everything with the characters and pacts just yet and I hosed up and gave my first character an odd lucky number, but I'm assuming that all my starting dolls are going to be replaced at some point anyway if I actually want to do the post game. I had never even saved the game yet so I just sucked it up and paid for repairs again. ![]() I randomly came across a mana yooze in the first dungeon that wrecked my face and then right after repairing everyone I found a secret area directly to the left of the first floor with minimana yooze that proceeded to wreck me again. ![]() Overall, I found the difficulty level pretty manageable throughout the game on normal mode with minimal grinding. The difficulty is kinda swingy since there are so many random factors involved sometimes you'll get an overpowered weapon that carries you for a while, sometimes you'll run into an overpowered monster that murders you. ![]()
